Plans and Upgrade¶

dikas Faktura comes in three tiers. All three create invoices in the same format — including structured e-invoices according to EN 16931. The tiers differ in feature set and convenience, not in the document format. This page shows what each tier can do, what happens after the 60 trial days and how to upgrade.

With annual payment you pay 10 instead of 12 months — two months are free.

What makes the difference

Free → Invoice raises the monthly quota from 5 to 100 and unlocks the module Finance: bank account, bank reconciliation with receipt recognition and dunning.

Invoice → Pro is then a question of volume and convenience: 1,000 instead of 100 invoices per month, more document storage, subscriptions with SEPA direct debit, the invoice run — and automatic account retrieval via FinTS. On the Invoice plan you import the bank statement yourself; it is then evaluated in exactly the same way.

Then talk to us — we will set up a higher quota for you. The same applies to document storage.

The monthly invoice quota¶

Every plan has a monthly quota — Free 5, Invoice 100, Pro 1,000 invoices per calendar month. The same rules apply to all three:

The counter is reset on the first of the month — it is not a lifetime limit.
Only real invoices are counted. Credit notes and deleted drafts do not count.
Quotes are unlimited — the limit only applies when creating an invoice. A conversion "Quote → Invoice" creates an invoice and therefore counts towards it.

When the quota is used up, a note appears when creating the next invoice. On the Free plan it points to the next tier:

You have reached the quota of 5 free invoices for this month. With "dikas Faktura Invoice" (€9/month) you write 100 invoices per month and convert quotes into invoices.

On a paid plan it points to us instead — we set up a higher quota without you having to change the plan.

Via "Upgrade now" your customer account opens; with "Later" you close the note. In this case the invoice was not created — after the upgrade you create it again.

What happens after the 60 trial days¶

Your account starts with 60 days of dikas Faktura Pro — free of charge and without a payment method. After that the following applies:


Plan	falls back automatically to Free
Cancellation	not necessary — no payment obligation arises
Your data	remains fully preserved: customers, articles, quotes, invoices, PDFs, e-invoices, number ranges
Writing invoices	continues — from then on 5 per month
Quotes	still unlimited

Running subscriptions and SEPA runs are paused

Subscriptions, SEPA direct debit runs, bank reconciliation and dunning belong to the module Finance. The Free plan is the only one that does not include it — the Invoice and Pro plans both have it. When falling back to Free, running subscription invoices and SEPA runs are therefore paused — they no longer collect money and generate no new invoices. You are informed about this; nothing stands still silently.

After an upgrade to Pro you resume the paused subscriptions and runs — in the meantime they remain stored and are not lost.

If you use subscriptions and direct debits

Before the 60 days end, check whether you want to stay on Pro. An upgrade after the fallback is possible at any time — but the time in between is missing from the collection.

Upgrade¶

The upgrade is done in the customer account, not in the instance:

Open konto.dikas.de and log in.
Click My license in the sidebar.
The section "Extend your dikas Faktura plan" shows the bookable tiers with price — one button per tier.
Click the target tier. The prompt "Really change plan?" appears with the current plan, target plan and monthly price.
Confirm with "Upgrade (paid)".

After the upgrade: switch on Finance

The menu item Finance only appears once the module is also switched on: Settings → Operations → Operations → "Modules" section → tick "Finance" and save. This applies to Invoice and Pro. On the Free plan the checkbox carries the note "not licensed" and cannot be set.
